To determine the economic feasibility of exhaust air heat recovery technology in centralized air conditioning systems, this study presents a method for economic comparison analysis of exhaust air heat recovery technology:selecting typical meteorological year (TMY) data, adopting dynamic hourly simulation method, and processing the data with Excel software. Taking the exhaust air heat recovery device of a library project in Chongqing as an example, the study compares the uncertainty impacts of different TMY data on economic comparisons. Conclusion regarding the economic applicability of exhaust air heat recovery devices is drawn, along with proposed sources for selecting TMY data during analysis. The research outcomes can provide references for air conditioning system design.
